A small dedication to the memory of Cortana. Though chief is built to be one of the toughest soldiers, I feel Cortana was a loss his character will not recover from. They were together always...and Never.
I'm still going with a slight chance of her coming back. Only slight, mind you. She was one of, if not the, biggest influence to Chief. As it was said in the actual game she ,in a way, was his human side. So yeah. She could come back. But I can see some real character progression for Chief if she doesn't.
Alas, poor Cortana. I knew her, Lasky. A woman of infinite sarcasm, of most excellent humor. I hath borne her in my head a thousand times; and now, how abhorred in my imagination it is! my gorge rims at it. Here lies this chip that I have placed in my head I know not how oft. Where be your gibes now? your advices? your criticisms? Your flashes of merriment, that were wont to set the players on a roar? Not one now, to mock your own smirking? quite chap-fallen? Now get you to Halsey's chamber, and tell her, let her paint an inch thick, to this favour she must come; make her ponder at that.
i think so to . the librarian explained that there was a program to transfer living persons to the digital world so they could be inmortal butt she also said they where working reversing the process to . so theyre is maybe hope
I thought the exact same thing. I sat back after Halo 4 ended, admit I was a little teary eyed, and just thought.. where are they going to go now? That was a perfect ending.
I can understand that. Personally I think the plot will have to revolve around "The Mantle of Responsibility", given how prominent it was. I think it's likely John's journey will be a a bit theme. Whether or not the Forerunners, in shape or form, or the Storm Covenant will be the major antagonists I'm not sure.

An emotional and fitting end to the game, though things seem a tad too definitively closed...
Still the end seemed quite definitive with very little in the way of hints for what 5 and 6 have in store for us.
Yeah, perhaps they'll discover something else on Requiem, or one of the other Installations. I honestly am at a loss at where 343i plans to take this.
I can understand that.
